Powermat Review: iPhone & Kindle Charging Wirelessly!

How many devices do you have in your household that need to be charged every day? If you are like us, you have a minimum of 2 cellphones in your house! Have you ever wondered if there’s a better way to charge all of those devices rather then using a different electrical outlet for each one?

Well lucky for you there is! It’s called the Powermat and it charges all of your electronic devices wirelessly! One plug into the wall, and the rest of your equipment just lays on the Powermat to quietly charge up. How easy is that?

Here’s how it works:

The Powermat Wireless Charging System provides a simple, fast and efficient way to keep all of your favorite personal electronic devices charged. Enabling your devices with Powermat Receivers allows you to Drop and Charge them on any Powermat Mat to experience wireless charging.

We have 2 iPhones and a Kindle that we decided to put to the test with the Powermat. We needed two iPhone 3G or 3GS receivers:

Wirelessly charge your iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS with this Powermat Receiver Case.

  • Protective case covers the iPhone 3G/3GS and allows it to charge wirelessly on any Powermat charging mat
  • Simply place on any Powermat Mat- no plugging and unplugging
  • Slim, sleek, formfitting design
  • Allows micro USB access for sync

and for the Kindle, we received a Universal Powercube Reciever (let me tell you, that baby could charge anything!):

The Powercube Universal Receiver Allows you to Charge Hundreds of Devices Wirelessly

The perfect accessory to your mat. Seven Interchangeable tips (micro USB, mini USB, Samsung, LG, Apple, Nintendo DSi, Sony PSP) allow you to wirelessly charge hundreds of mobile devices using just one receiver. Works with all Powermat mats.

Powermat mats sold separately.

Once your device is connected or encased in the receiver, you simply lay it on the plugged in Powermat and watch it charge up!

You know how when you charge your phone via usb cable and it charges VERY slowly? Not so with the Powermat, it charges just as quickly as it would if you plugged it in directly. Only with the Powermat, you only have to use ONE electrical outlet for ALL of your devices! How convenient is that?

There are several different versions of Powermat you can purchase, but they all work on the same basic premise:

Powermat was established in 2007 in response to the explosion of electronic devices flooding today’s market and the growing need to provide a simple, smart, efficient and clutter-free approach for simultaneously powering multiple devices. Powermat allows users to enable their electronic devices once with a Powermat receiver and then set down up to three devices on the charging mat for safe and effective wireless charging. It’s simple, effortless, and provides consumers with first-of-its-kind freedom from the need to constantly plug/unplug as well as the angst of running on empty. Moreover, Powermat eliminates the tangle of wires that result from multiple cords overload; virtually eliminating ‘cord fatigue’ among consumers toting more and more “must have” gadgets.

We use our Powermat to charge our iPhones and our Kindle. There are so many other devices the Powermat is capable of charging though:

  • Samsung
  • LG
  • Apple
  • Nintendo DSi
  • Sony PSP
  • iPhones
  • iPod
  • Blackberry
  • htc
  • Motorola

After you pick out the Powermat you want, just find the appropriate receivers for your devices and you are ready to go!

Wish that you could find a bundle package instead of buying everything a la carte? No problem, Powermat has several bundle packages for you to pick and choose from.

We love our Powermat. It makes life a lot easier!

I thought the point of paying people to write these blog posts was so they would look genuine and not like an ad? Powermat should get its ad money back from this “blogger”.
