I just started couponing a few months ago and I see that CVS has a great deal on diapers this week. I am not familiar with the way ECB’s work. I have read your blogs about them and they helped a lot. I do have a question though:
It says if you buy 6 jumbo packs of Luvs ($7 each) you get a free pack. And I have 3 coupons for $1/1. They are also doing the spend $30 get $10 ECB. So if I buy 6 packs of luvs and use my coupons and end up paying $39 oop. Does this mean I immediately get my free pack of diapers and $10 ECB’s to use? Or do I have to go back another time? And can I sign up for a card in the store and use it right after I get it?
I’ll admit I jumped into your post tonight thinking YES! I want a $50 gc to walmart to help with my Chrismas shopping!!!!! BUT, if I get a gift card, I promise to take my 3 little ones along with me to help pick out $50 worth of toys for Toys for Tots! I think this should be the year I get my kids involved with this worthwhile cause! If you have others who will put it to better use I will totally understand, but I’d be SO excited to get it. How very generous of you and thanks for sharing your story!
Today I decided to take any broken gold pieces, etc., and sterling silver I had to a local jewelry store. I admit I was curious to see what these pieces that I no longer wore might bring. I really didn’t think I would get very much. When she told me how much cash she would give me…I said SOLD!!! Needless to say I paid off a bill I owed, spent some of it on my mother, bought some Christmas presents for the grandkids,….well you get the picture! She even gave me (you’re not going to believe this) $75. for a gold crown I had saved from the dentist! I got almost triple what I had originally paid for a necklace.
The point I wish to share is you may have jewelry around your house that you never wear anymore, that might turn into more cash than you think. At least give it a try. Good luck with your ‘treasure’ hunt! I hope this helps someone.
