Homemade Sazon

Homemade Sazon: 5 Simple Ingredients Already In Your Spice Cabinet!

Homemade Sazon

If you’ve ever had a dish seasoned with Sazon, you know it’s some GOOD stuff. If you don’t know what Sazon is, it is a seasoning mixture used in Latin American and Mexican cuisine.

Unfortunately, it’s not that great for you. They do make packets without MSG now, but it’s so simple to make your own Homemade Sazon!

5 ingredients and you have enough Homemade Sazon to last for several meals.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp coriander
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp annato seeds (I used paprika this time instead because I ran out of annato seeds and couldn’t find them when I went to the store recently)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp salt

Directions:

Combine all of the spices together and store your homemade sazon in an airtight container. 1 1/2 tsp is equivalent to one packet of Sazon.

I have a recipe coming up next week that will utilize this homemade sazon recipe!

Enjoy!
