Today on Momtastic:

Extreme Couponing sounds like a really boring sporting event at the X Games. Ask an extreme couponer if they think the game of couponing is boring though and they will quickly drop their 20 pound coupon binder on your foot.

In fact, Extreme Couponing is apparently so exciting that there is now an entire series on TLC dedicated to this  “sport”. What began as a one night, hour-long special, quickly became a nationwide discussion.

What Is Extreme Couponing?

Extreme Couponing is the practice of using massive amounts of coupons to score massive amounts of product for a fraction of the price. On the TLC special, each participant went to the store and purchased several cartloads of groceries for jaw dropping discounts (and I’m a couponer, so if my jaw dropped you know it was impressive!).

You might ask, at what point does a traditional couponer become an extreme couponer?
