As you may have read, I am NOT a big coupon clipper. I do what I can to save and find coupons for the items I plan to buy, but I simply do not have the time with a husband, 2 small children, and a house to keep tidy, to spend clipping, organizing, and planning shopping trips. My previous articles on part-time couponing are below:
This week’s CVS ad had a few things I was interested in and I happened to have coupons for two of the items! Neither coupon came from a newspaper insert, but in the mail from the company! I “like” Tide on Facebook and caught a promotion they ran several weeks back for a ‘$2 off any Tide’ coupon. I also am signed up for the Proctor & Gamble emails and coupons and received a booklet of coupons in the mail a few weeks ago. This booklet had a ‘$1 off any Crest’ coupon. Here are the deals I found!
*This was inadvertently done in two transactions. They were out of the Purex (I like to use a cheaper detergent for bath rugs, outside towels, etc.) and had written me a rain check, but someone found some in the back before I left, so I went ahead and got them!
- Tide–$5.94; $2 coupon; Final Price $3.94
- Crest–2/$6.98; $1 coupon; Final Price 2/$5.98 ($2.99 each)
- I had $4.98 on my CVS Cash Card from this trip, so I paid just $5.57 OOP!Transaction #2:
- Purex–$1.99 (regularly $5.99!)
- I purchased 2 bottles and paid $4.26 OOP!
Total Spent OOP= $9.83 and saved $16.05 with coupons and sales!
I hope this helps you see that you can still save BIG, even while part time couponing! Don’t forget to “like” Family Friendly Frugality on Facebook and look for the products you like and follow them as well! You may catch some great coupons!
