Walmart & Pampers Team Up to Donate $200,000 to Children’s Miracle Network – Plus $25 Walmart GC Giveaway!

Disclosure: The Walmart gift cards and information have been provided by P&G. All opinions are my own.

I generally ignore 90% of the press releases that fall into my inbox. Then read/delete the rest. Every once in awhile though, I come across something share worthy.

Right now, Walmart and Pampers have teamed up to donate $200,000 to Children’s Miracle Network…and you can help!

Whether they suffer from common childhood afflictions like asthma and broken bones, or fight bigger challenges like birth defects or cancer, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals provide comfort, treatment and hope to millions of sick kids. To show support for the organization and the one in 10 kids in North America who are treated by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year,Walmart and Pampers have teamed up to donate $200,000 in the month of June.

Additionally, by purchasing products like Pampers Swaddlers at your local Walmart, portions of the proceeds will go to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

  • Your support helps provide 32 million patient visits for 10 million kids every year
  • One in 10 kids in North America is treated by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year
  • Every day, member hospitals treat 16,000 children in emergency rooms
  • Every hour, member hospitals provide surgery for 97 children
  • U.S. members hospitals provided $3.4 billion in charity care in 2012

Will’s story in particular resonated with me:

Will
Mother Frances Hospital
Quad Congenital Amputee
Age 7 (as of 11/30/14)

Will has always defied odds, starting with an all-too-rare Hanhart syndrome diagnosis before he was born. Children with this disorder often have some, but not all, of the symptoms. Will’s diagnosis affects all four of his limbs and was born without feet and with partially developed hands.

This hardly slows him down. Though doctors told Will he would never be able to run and jump without ankles, he has since proven them wrong, defying odds once again.

CMN Hospitals fully funds the Special Needs Clinic where Will receives his care. The Clinic is the only one of its kind between Dallas and Shreveport and treats more than 500 children.

The Children’s Miracle Network helps so many! I definitely wanted to help Walmart and Pampers get the word out about this promotion.

To help get the word out, Walmart is offering a $25 Walmart gift card to one lucky FFF reader.

All I ask is that you share this post with someone else. I’m not going to follow up, so this is on the honor system ;).

After you share the post, come back and leave a comment. Your comment will be your entry to win. I’d love for you to share any personal experience you or  your loved ones have had with Children’s Miracle Network as well.

This giveaway will end on 7/2/15 at 11:59 PM CST. Winner will be chosen at random.

Good luck!
