|Oh Kindle, How I love you!|
I get a lot of questions about my Kindle and why I love it so much, so I thought I’d answer those questions in my Works For Me Wednesday post!
Why a Kindle? Why not a Nook? Sony?
Because I wanted a Kindle? To be honest it was more about me just really liking Amazon. I love Amazon, and I trust a product from them.
What about frugality Heather? An E-Reader is expensive!
Yes, it is. Upfront. It is an incredibly frugal decision though. First off, new releases are cheaper in Kindle format. Not only that, thousands of books are FREE on my e-reader. I’m all for gadgets that save me time (books are auto delivered wirelessly) and space (our bookcase was busting at the seams!) and Kindle does both of those things. I’m also very gadget-y. What can I say, I save where I can so I can spend where I want!
What else can it do?
Backflips. Seriously though, it does a lot of things that I don’t really use it for. You can subscribe to newspapers on it, blogs, read PDF’s (I do read PDF’s for my sewing patterns on my Kindle). You can even surf the net (mobile version, just like on your phone).
I like the feel of books. I don’t think I could get into a book on an electronic device.
I felt the same, until about oh….an hour into reading on it. Now I totally space out when I’m reading. I get into my zone even more so with the Kindle. Instead of changing pages, I lightly push a button. I find myself getting even MORE into my books.
