1. How do you handle a naughty child?
We are big time out fans here. We count to 3…and if the behavior isn’t improving off to time out they go. We also offer choices. Both outcomes are outcomes we can live with, but it makes our kids feel like they have a bit more control. Most of our tantrums nowadays are because our son thinks he should have total control. Giving him choices tells him, he can have some control…but ultimately he needs to do what he is told.
2. Who is your favorite TV host? and why?
TV host, hmmmm. I guess I’m going to say Oprah. Not because I watch her or even like her all that much. She’s done a lot for women and she makes a difference in this world. She’s not just a pretty face or a talking head.
3. Who is the biggest influence in your life?
My mama. She passed back in 1995 when I was only 12 years old. I miss her so, and every day I work a bit harder at life so I can join her in Heaven.
4. What is your joy for blogging?
I love a good deal, and I love to find cheaper ways to do fun things. I love to share a good deal. If I can help someone save a bit of money, it makes my whole day. I’ve always had a knack for getting good deals and many of my friends and family would probe how I did it. With the platform of blogging, I am able to share with everyone.
5. What time do you enter your bloggy world everyday?
after I make the kids breakfast…usually 7:30ish?
6. Where is your favorite place for holiday?
like vacation? I prefer staycations. I get homesick really easy!
7. Do you always participate on Blog Hop every time you post something?
I think these means do I just put my link and go or do I always check out other blogs. I ALWAYS check out other blogs. I think it defeats the purpose to not participate and to be quite honest I think it’s kind of rude. I don’t visit that many blogs though. When I visit I like to look around and read the content. I don’t want anyone to think I just hopped to their blog to get them to follow mine and never look back again.
8. Do you have pet at home?
nope…unless you count two toddlers!

1. What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
Just lay in bed and cuddle with my family! We have so much fun when we just pick a bed in the house, all pile onto it and wrestle and giggle and sing songs and have fun!
2. If you could travel anywhere in the world & could take anybody with you but only one person, who would you take?
My husband and I would go back to Jamaica for a second honeymoon!
3. What is something that not many people know about you?
Gosh, I am pretty gosh darn open book. I’d say not that many people know that I can cook pretty well. My immediate family does, but that’s probably it.
4. What did you want to be when you grew up? And did you become it?
I wanted to be a teacher. Yes and No. I work for a Mother’s Day Out program 2 days a week and I am a teacher, but I thought I’d be a 2nd grade teacher. To be honest, I have no desire to be a 2nd grade teacher anymore. Early childhood seems to be my calling. It doesn’t pay much, but there’s so much promise in kids in those early years and it’s amazing to be a part of it.
5. If you could live anywhere in the world where would that be?
Right here in good old Houston Texas. I was born in NY, grew up the first 12 or so years of my life in New Jersey, but I BELONG in Texas.
6. What was your dream car & what is it NOW?
I’ve never had a dream car! I just need a car that gets me from point a to point b reliably and with air conditioning. It would be nice to have a bigger car though.
7. If you could relive high school, would you?
That’s funny.
8. What is your favorite type of music & why?
I love so many different kinds! I love country, christian, rock, pop, r&b, etc. 80’s is my favorite time period of music though.
