If you’ve never heard of eShakti, you will thank me! I had not heard of them until receiving an email offering a product review for our wonderful readers. Once I saw the site, I realized I had been missing out! They have so many cute things to choose from! Now, you may be thinking “Hey, this is a frugality blog! Why is she showing me a clothing site?”. Quite possibly my favorite feature that eShakti offers is customizing!  I don’t know very many women whose measurements fit into just one size on the standard size charts (I know mine don’t!). eShakti allows you to enter all your measurements and also alter the neckline, tunic length, and sleevetype of your item, all for FREE on your first purchase and for an additional $7.50 after that.

I chose the cotton poplin rosette trim dress in deep slate green, which retails for $59.95.  I did have it customized to my measurements and also changed the length from ‘below the knee’ to ‘above the knee’. About 12 days after sending in my measurements, the package arrived on my doorstep. That’s pretty quick for a dress made just for me! It was packaged in a very small box and the dress was folded quite small (similar to how men’s dress shirts are packaged). So, I did need to iron the wrinkles out of the dress. Once it came, I immediately tried it on and as I was removing it, one of the buttons on the floral trim fell off. It’s not noticeable at all though.

I love the details!

The dress fits perfectly and I absolutely LOVE the color! I tend to run a size smaller on top than bottom, so the custom sizing gave me a nice fit on top, which I usually can’t find. I will admit that I was nervous about the custom sizing, but it turned out great. (eShakti does recommend having someone else take your measurements for a more accurate measurement, which I did.) I also think this dress is really versatile in that I could wear it in spring/summer with light colored shoes or in the fall/winter with dark colored shoes and a wrap or sweater. I truly feel like it’s a great price for a versatile, custom fit dress! I wore the dress to church and got tons of compliments!
