It was a Saturday night and we decided we wanted to play things low key!
I didn’t want to cook.
I didn’t want to entertain.
We had been playing outside all day long and I was exhausted!
Honestly, I just wanted to go grab some quick and easy food and stop by Redbox for a game.
So you know what? That’s exactly what I did!
Well, I grabbed the family first! ;)
I knew I wanted to rent Club Penguin for the Wii, so I quickly downloaded the Redbox app to locate a Redbox nearby (Follow Redbox on Facebook and Twitter) . I found that I could actually go ahead and pay/reserve the game right from my phone!
We drove over to a local Walgreens and I grabbed our game (no pictures taken there because there was a crazy impatient line and I didn’t want to make everyone mad!). (BTW, if you enjoy renting from RedBox, be sure to check out this promo! You have until 4/30 to text to win free movies for an entire year!)

Next we headed over to Sams Club. My son wasn’t too excited about this shopping trip. We told him we were just going to get toilet paper. Not thrilling news for a 5 year old.
We walked around the store for a bit checking out the newer seasonal items they had put out since our last Sams Club trip.
Then we headed back to the frozen food and grabbed a Digiorno Pizza Party Pack!
For just $10 we got 2 pepperoni pizzas, cheesy bread AND 12 chocolate chip cookies!
Since we initially told the kids we were going to get toilet paper, we went ahead and grabbed a box (we love this toilet paper, we buy a box about once a quarter!).
The kids were so excited for our family game night.
We headed home and my husband set up Club Penguin for the Wii while I started on dinner. I thought the packaging was pretty clever! I liked that everything was individually wrapped. I knew we likely wouldn’t need 2 pizzas, so we can save the 2nd one for another night!
While the food cooked, it was time to get playing!
Club Penguin for Wii is rated E for everyone. This meant that my daughter (age 3) and my son (age 5) could both play!
My daughter is not a big fan of video games, so she pretty quickly got frustrated. My son and husband had a blast though!
They enjoyed competing against each other and earning coins (which apparently you can use offline on www.clubpenguin.com).
We gave this game about 3.5 out of 5 Couches using the #CouchCritics rating system ;)
It was a bit difficult to set up initially, but once they got going, it was a lot of fun.
Now it was time to eat! Everything was so tasty.
The kids gobbled down the cheesy bread and pizza and we could barely make them wait for the cookies to cool.
It was a great family game night thanks to our Digiorno Pizza Party Pack and Club Penguin for the Wii!
