I just got the following email from CVS PR:
As promised to provide you breaking news & updates, we wanted to give you a heads up about upcoming circular news for the week of March 4. In addition to our sale offers in the weekly circular, in certain locations we are providing a 20% off shopping pass good for most of the products in our store.
This provides customers with a savings opportunity on many more products than our circular typically offers, while also giving customers the ability to create a personalized sale based on the products they choose to purchase with the shopping pass.
As you know, our weekly circular varies by geographic location, and we wanted to let you know about three scenarios for the March 4th circular:
- Select locations in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and New Mexico will receive a one-page circular insert in newspapers that features a 20%-off 3-day shopping pass and hot sale offers. The one-page circular will be available in-store, however the 20% off shopping pass will not be available in-store.
- Select locations in Connecticut and New York and a few locations in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Pennsylvania will receive a one-page circular insert in newspapers that features a 20%-off 7-day shopping pass and hot sale offers. The one-page circular will be available in-store, however the 20% off shopping pass will not be available in-store.
- Select locations in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee will receive a one-page circular insert in newspapers that features a 20%-off 3-day shopping pass and hot sale offers. The one-page circular will be available in-store from Sunday to Tuesday AND a 4-day 4-tab circular will be available in-store for Wednesday through Saturday. The 20% off shopping pass will not be available in-store.
The 20% off shopping pass may only be used on non sale offers.
It looks like they are going to be sending me a sneak peek ad on Tuesday with more details so I’ll be sure to share them with you!
I’m not in a state that is going to get a 20% off shopping pass, so I’m hoping those of you that are will make good use of it so they send the next round to Texas! LOL

I’d be excited if I lived in one of those areas. lol. Hopefully, they’ll send the shopping passes to FL along with Tx next round. :-D

I live in the NY test area, and I’m NOT at all excited about getting the 20% off shopping pass. The reason being, we only get a 2 page sales circular with only one, I reapeat ONE, ExtraCare Bucks deal. Therefore, I don’t get to participate in all of the sales offered in the regular 16-page circular. I feel cheated, to say the least!!!! I hope this is only for this week, because CVS won’t be getting my money this week. I’ll be shopping at Rite Aid and Walgreen’s instead.
Are you sure those deals won’t be available in stores? If not, then yes I have to agree with you!
It was my understanding that this smaller 2 page circular was in addition to the normal weekly circular? Is that not the case?
