I hate hearing about recalls on food. Especially healthy food! You think you are making a good choice (and you are in this case), but sadly sometimes even healthy food can become contaminated.
Right now, there is a recall from the Wawona Packing Co. They ship their fruit to Walmart (and Sam’s Club), Costco and Kroger.
If you purchased peaches, nectarines, plums and/or pluots (huh?) between June 1 and July 12th (well you have probably eaten it by now!), you can look for a sticker that says Sweet 2 Eat. If you see that sticker, it means your fruit might have been contaminated with the bacteria Listeria (very dangerous for pregnant women and children).
Either destroy the fruit or return it to the store for a refund.
You can see the full recall info here (which does include baked goods that included the fruit as well).
