My money saving tip today is all about generics. Don’t feel that generic brands are inferior to brand names automatically. Many times you can buy brand name for less when you combine coupons with sales. If the generic is still cheaper though, be sure to give the generic a try. We have a local grocery store (HEB) and I’d argue that their generic brand is better then the majority of their brand name counterparts! I don’t shop at HEB much anymore because they aren’t as coupon friendly and their sales don’t really support couponing (they tend to mainly put their own brand on sale), but when I want to make a quick trip to the store and don’t have time to get together coupons, I head to HEB. As far as good store brands go, I like Target’s Market Pantry line.

Ever since I moved to wordpress I can’t seem to get my buttons to work correctly. Thanks for trying though!
Oops & I forgot i have a local store WEIS they have a great name brand product that actually has 3 levels – Big Top Brand, then Weis Brand & Weis 4 star/Gold brand, each level the quality is better & of course the price is higher, but still a bargain compared to some name brands. They also coupon down their meet with $$ off tags before they go out of date, so I can usually get some great meat bargains!
HEB actually has that same set up as well. I tend to like the middle tier the most, but even some of the no frills is pretty good!
